Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a figure here disagrees with the source it cites, or a rule has changed and this site has not caught up, say so and point at the source.

What is worth sending
A correction with a citation. If a figure here disagrees with the source it cites, or a rule has changed and this site has not caught up, that is the most useful thing anyone can send. Point at the instrument or the Revenue page — a correction that names its source can be checked and applied the same day; one that does not has to be researched from scratch.
A gap worth filling. If there is an Irish figure of the same kind — a rate, a threshold, a statutory calendar — that the State publishes the rule for and does not compute for the citizen, it may belong here.
What cannot be answered
Anything about your own situation. What rate applies to your product, whether you should register, what your car is taxed at, whether your employer has met your public-holiday entitlement — those are questions about specific facts and this site has none of them. Answering them would be advice, and this is a reference site.
Revenue answers VAT questions through its own channels; the Workplace Relations Commission handles working-time complaints; motortax.ie is the State’s own motor tax service. None of them is us, and the about page says so plainly.
What happens to what you send
It is read. If it is a correction, it is checked against the source and, if right, applied — and the change is recorded on the updates page with a date. Nothing you send is published, shared or used for anything else.
